Notes from the Chef, December 8, 2011: Metal Mania!
Get ready to throw up the horns and headbang your way through lunch because today is Metal Mania! I’ve always loved Metal, from the frying pan to Black Sabbath, and today we’re commemorating the life of Darrell Abbott, guitarist of Pantera and Damageplan, one of the driving forces behind groove metal and major influences on contemporary American Metal. Darrell’s epic rockingness was the inspiration for today’s Metal-themed menu. Feast on Lamb (of God), named for the band, MOSHERS (sweet potatoes and russet potatoes mashed with whiskey) and roasted Patty Pan-tera squash.
